Creating a Memorable Fan Experience

Every seat is on top of the action no matter where you're at in the ballpark, you can see the field. This is an amazing project and will stand as a case study for the rest of the country. K.L. Wombacher , Vice President and General Manager

Developing a Unified Sports Complex

Located at Hillsboro’s Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, the baseball field and seating bowl are strategically inserted next to an existing football stadium to establish a grand entrance for the entire complex, the convenience of shared amenities and an unforgettable, iconic roofline. Gateway Plaza, their common concourse, also provides a variety of venues for year-round civic activities. The baseball stadium’s strong masonry base matches the football stadium’s masonry to convey a strong, unified concept, as well as a sense of permanence and stability that complements their light, airy roofs hovering above.

Getting Close to the Action

The beer garden and party deck are located down the first base line, with great views of the field. The club room on the field level has direct access to the beer garden and to parking. Without ever losing sight of the game, fans can walk along the concourse from the beer garden to the grassy berm in left field or explore the Gateway Plaza’s concessions, seating areas, food carts, and children’s play area. Standing room is abundant; along with the chance to sit on the grassy berm, families can choose their favorite approach for enjoying a day at the ballpark.
