Shriners has moved from their original 1951 Hospital, located in downtown Los Angeles to this new Ambulatory Surgical Center in Pasadena and has affiliated with Huntington Memorial Hospital. This new facility will provide better support for newer, minimally-invasive day surgery procedures, orthopedic therapy and rehabilitation, and includes state-of-the-art imaging systems. The primary focus of the design team was to create a healing environment with an abundance of daylight, access to outdoor spaces and positive distractions to support a family-friendly healthcare experience for Shriners patients. Patients with more complex conditions requiring major surgery and inpatient care will now be treated at Huntington Memorial Hospital, located 1 block away.
