This new ballpark is going to be a generational project that serves as a community gathering place for decades to come. This is a gamechanger for our region and perfectly aligns with the City’s vision, as well as ours, to provide the best community to live, work, and PLAY.  K.L. Wombacher, Hops President and General Manager

For Everybody Everyday

The fan experience on gamedays will be exceptional. The 360-degree concourse is open for everyone to mingle and check out various concessions and food trucks while enjoying the game. There’s no such thing as a bad view, and because fans face either north or east, the sun will always be behind the audience and never in someone’s eyes.

A variety of ticket options make the venue accessible to all and great for families. The outfield is ideal for informal gatherings with space for picnics, food trucks and an expansive kid play area.

The premium level has access to two bars and full kitchens to support a variety of catering options including traditional concessions, buffets or plated dinners for special events. The Soñadores Cantina celebrates the Hops’ alter ego and is another opportunity for fan entertainment and refreshment. On non-gamedays, the club area can host weddings, conferences and other parties and gatherings.

The venue is designed to be a community plaza and the go-to location for events all year like festivals, markets and the next big concert. Batting tunnels are located where casual fans, aspiring athletes and Hops players can access them.

Aligned with Current Needs and Future Goals

Our team worked closely with the City of Hillsboro and the Hops leadership to determine solutions that align with current needs and future goals. The project represents a successful Public-Private Partnership.

The project team studied the feasibility of renovating and expanding the city’s existing stadium, Ron Tonkin Field, but it was deemed financially infeasible due to adjacent barriers and infrastructure constraints. The City of Hillsboro will continue to operate the existing stadium to serve players, fans and the community as a part of the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.

Best‑in‑Class Player Development

Hillsboro Hops players, coaches and staff will have access to training facilities that are designed for success. Everything is planned from the perspective of the player – from individual training and support to team development to competition on gameday.

The approach to team space is holistic and provides opportunities to socialize, relax and decompress, improve performance and access counseling and therapy. Gender-neutral facilities will support female and nonbinary coaches, umpires, managers, therapists and more.

The Hops are passionate about player development, with a goal to inspire excitement when players join the team – which has the added benefit of energizing the next generation of baseball fans.
