We are proud to share the Hillsboro Hops, a minor league affiliate of the MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks, has officially broke ground on an exciting new stadium project designed by our team in collaboration with Populous.

Set to open for the 2026 season, the new stadium will hold 6,000 for baseball games and 7,000 for concerts and/or other community events. In total, the 229,000 square foot facility will include a kids play zone, beer garden along with cutting-edge fan and athlete amenities.

The stadium will offer a striking 32-foot cantilevered canopy for protection from rain and sun.

“(We are) going to build a dream venue for this community to enjoy. It’s like the pinnacle of your career to be able to work on a project like this. We know the kind of meaning this venue is going to have to the community because we’ve been envisioning it forever, and we’re so excited now that people (will) get to enjoy it.”

K.L. Wombacher, Hillsboro Hops General Manager

The stadium will truly function as a community gathering space for much more than just baseball. The project will create new jobs for its construction and nourish its home region for decades to come.

The project’s groundbreaking and potential is already being celebrated by media including Sports Business Journal and numerous local outlets.
