Ashwin Toney, RA, LEED AP
Ashwin has joined SRG’s Seattle studio as a Senior Associate and Senior Project Designer. He brings 22 years of experience and has worked in several market sectors in Missouri, Texas, and Ahmedabad, India before joining the SRG Team. Projects of note include the Student Services Center for the University of Dallas, City of Dallas Fire Station 27, Bush Renner Campus Expansion for Methodist Richardson Hospital System, Fine and Performing Arts Humanities Center for Pulaski Technical College, and Shoreline Campus New Tower Expansion for Christus Spohn. In all of his projects, creative ideas are driven by designing around the user group and client. Inspired by projects that enrich our communities and promote environmental responsibility, Ashwin’s design process is engaging, open, and collaborative. Ashwin graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Manoharbhai Patel Institute of Engineering and Technology at Nagpur University in India and a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Callie Coles
Callie has joined SRG’s Portland studio as a Marketing Coordinator. She’s an enthusiastic writer, marketer, and designer with more than six years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Her career started as an architectural designer, and she found she loved writing proposals, creating presentations, and crafting marketing and outreach materials even more than drawing details. She’s most fulfilled when using her organizational and communication skills to support architects, and she’s fascinated by business development. Her favorite thing about architecture is best summed up by Winston Churchill: “We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.” Callie earned her Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Architectural Art History from the University of Oregon.
Elias Gardner, AIA, LEED AP
Elias has rejoined the SRG team as an Associate and Project Architect. He brings more than ten years of experience in architecture including interdisciplinary development of mass timber building systems for unique typologies and emerging markets. He’s inspired by smart collaboration with diverse voices to explore, assemble, and articulate a shared vision. Projects of note while at SRG include the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, King County’s Colman Dock Water Taxi Terminal, and the Museum of Flight’s Aviation Pavilion. Elias earned his Bachelor of Arts from Williams College in Massachusetts and his Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design.
Ike Ogbue, RIBA, LEED AP BD+C
Ike has been hired in SRG’s Seattle studio as a Senior Project Manager and Senior Associate. He brings a total of 30 years’ experience, with over 15 years as a Project Manager on a variety of projects including workplace, commercial, and healthcare. He has delivered award-winning projects for clients in cities around the world and remains committed to the highest design standards based on invention and simplicity. He has a keen eye for composition, pays attention to detail, and is a stickler for execution. Projects of note include the 5th Avenue Development in Seattle, Oklahoma University Medical Center, the Bur Juman Center Expansion, Dubai and the IFC Offices (World Bank) in Lagos, Nigeria. Ike earned his graduate degree, and licensure at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff, Wales, and his Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Design from the University of Westminster in London, England.
Kaitlin Fogarty
Kaitlin has joined the SRG team as an Accounting and Payroll Specialist in the Portland studio. Kaitlin brings exceptional financial experience and is adept at organizing complex documentation and working with a variety of teams. She loves to learn and engage with her team to improve upon processes that keep everyone working accurately and efficiently. She earned her Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Portland Community College and her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management with a Minor in Finance from Portland State University.
Laura VandenBoom
Laura has joined the SRG team as a Business Development & Marketing Manager and an Associate in the Seattle studio. She brings strong experience in architectural marketing and writing with an eye for detail and design. Listening to architects and designers share their vision and knowledge informs how she develops engaging proposals and compelling narratives. She loves the dedication behind a design that responds to a community’s needs, and her favorite aspect of architecture is how it functions as a snapshot of history, culture, and craftsmanship. Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Classical Civilizations from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
Sarah Larson, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED Green Associate
Sarah has been hired in SRG’s Seattle studio as an Associate and Senior Interior Designer. She brings ten years of experience working on a variety of project types including student housing, affordable housing, nonprofit, workplace, healthcare, civic, and K-12. She’s also the Vice President of Advocacy for the IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter Board. Her mission is to spark joy in the world through design, and she loves collaborating to create dynamic spaces that reflect her client’s values. Each project and client is unique, and she enjoys understanding the stories behind design concepts and appreciates how each detail impacts the overall design and experience people will have in a space. Projects of note include UC San Diego Mesa Nueva and Nuevo West Student Housing, the PNB’s Bellevue facility in the Francia Russell Center, Wanapum Heritage Center, and UC Irvine Mesa Court. Sarah earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Interior Design from Washington State University.
