Multnomah County Central Courthouse, Hayward Field Recipients of Portland Business Journal Commercial Real Estate Transformer Awards
On August 3, Multnomah County Central Courthouse and Hayward Field were honored amongst Oregon and Southwest Washington’s most innovative and transformative development projects in the PBJ Commercial Real Estate Transformer Awards.
The 17-story Multnomah County Central Courthouse has transformed the Portland waterfront and skyline while helping reshape the public’s perception and experience of the region’s justice system. Designed in collaboration with CGL Architects, a justice facility expert, and through an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) process with Hoffman Construction, the new courthouse is super sustainable and modern, and makes justice more transparent, more open, and more welcoming.
Having just played host to the first ever US-held World Athletics Championships, the reimagined Hayward Field was a design-build collaboration with Hoffman Construction. The stadium respects the University of Oregon’s illustrious track and field history while creating a modern, premier stadium designed to connect athletes with fans and provide world class facilities where student-athletes train, develop, and perform at their highest potential.
