Architecture Foundation of Oregon Dine & Design Event

August 14, 2022

Join SRG and Architecture Foundation of Oregon’s Design & Dine event, “Lessons From the Past & Designing for the Future,” a cocktail party and panel discussion with SRG Partnership founder Jon Schleuning.

Tuesday, August 30 | 4:30 PM

Join us on August 30th at SRG’s Portland studio for a Dine & Design evening with cocktails, appetizers, and great conversation with Jon Schleuning, celebrating his illustrious 40-year career and discussing the future of our city.

Practically impossible to capture in words, sketches, and photos, Jon’s impact on people, architecture, and the world around him is more than about ‘just buildings.’ Jon is a community leader, design activist, devoted colleague and friend who has played a pivotal role shaping Portland and its future.

Over the past 40 years, Jon has been known for his leadership on civic, education, science/technology, and healthcare projects in the Pacific Northwest and California. Jon has worked on many Oregon cultural institutions, such as the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Mount St. Helens Visitors Center, the Portland South Waterfront, and the Oregon Zoo. He was an early advocate for the urban revitalization of Portland, co-founded the Architecture Foundation of Oregon, and was the first architect to lead the City Club of Portland. Jon also spearheaded SRG’s research on high-performance buildings. In 2014, AIA Northwest & Pacific Region also gave Jon the Medal of Honor — its highest honor.
