World Athletics Visit Under‑Construction Hayward Field

With only a few months from completing the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, World Athletics CEO John Ridgeon and his team visited the site last week to start planning the first World Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in the U.S., coming in 2021.
“The difference is Eugene isn’t any town, it’s Track Town,” Ridgeon said, “The passion levels are higher here.”
